The  Global  Standards aim at capturing both the universality of social work values and the diversity that characterises the profession  through the  articulation  of  a  set  of  standards  that  are  divided  between  compulsory (those that all programmes must adhere to) and aspirational (those standards that Schools should aspire  to  include  when  and  where  possible).
