In a time of distress and turmoil\nit is crucial to respond to this issues and stand united as social work is a\nvalue based profession and as we have previously established at our joint\nconferences, those values transcend any physical and political boundaries. A\ndiscussion regarding the emergency response has to be rekindled to avoid both\nthe stress of the virus epidemic and the social issues that continue to amplify\nthe stress of this situation. This email is a call for action to all social\nwork associations to elaborate on their local best practices and provide national\nand regional recommendations in fighting this epidemic through social work\nvalues and skills. It is crucial to share our knowledge and expertise among\nourselves and with other organization to emphasize the social workers&#8217; role in\nepidemic response and community management during crisis periods. You are\nencouraged to write as many recommendations as possible fit for national and\ninternational action, your expertise and input is valued and will be used to\nits best capability to save and protect human life, dignity and worth.
