CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR PAPERS"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry\">\n<p>The department of social work at the University of Botswana in conjunction with Erfurt University, Germany   is pleased to  announce a  social work conference to be held in Gaborone, Botswana on October 25 \u2013 27, 2017<\/p>\n<p>THEME: \tSocial Work, Human Security, and Sustainable Development in sub-Saharan Africa<br \/>\nSub-themes will include:<br \/>\nSocial work and human security<br \/>\nPolitical security<br \/>\nSustainable development<br \/>\nSocial security<br \/>\nHuman Rights Based approach<br \/>\nSocial development<br \/>\nCorruption<br \/>\nThreats to human security<br \/>\nEconomic security<br \/>\nMigration<br \/>\nEnvironment and human security<br \/>\nFood security<br \/>\nSocial work in Africa<br \/>\nTourism and families in  Africa<br \/>\nHuman trafficking<\/p>\n<p>Please, indicate your preference in terms of the above<br \/>\nCALL FOR PAPERS: Abstracts are invited on the above theme and sub-themes by researchers, academicians, policy makers and analysts, PhD students, and specialists in the field of human security and human rights. The official language of the conference will be English without any official translation for the plenary, panel, and poster presentations. <\/p>\n<p>ABSTRACTS:  Abstracts should be submitted in English as  an e-mail attachment word document by  March 31st , 2017.  Acknowledgement of selected abstracts will be made by April 15th, 2017. Selected papers from the conference will be published.  Abstracts  should include the following details:<br \/>\n\t\tMS Word or Times Roman, 12 point font<br \/>\n\t\tAuthor\u2019s name (names), address, telephone number, and e-mail address<br \/>\n\t\tTitle<br \/>\n\t\tOral or poster presentation<br \/>\n\t\tAudio-visual equipment (indicate if needed)<br \/>\n\t\tAbstracts should not exceed  300 words<\/p>\n<p>COMPLETED PAPERS: Completed papers for the conference must be received by  August 15th , 2017. Please note that the papers should be in Microsoft Word for Windows, Times New Roman 12 with left margin and right margin 3 centimetres and 2.5 centimetres respectively. The conference will also provide opportunities for roundtable discussion on related topics and research collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>VENUE: The conference will be held at the AVANI  Hotel, International Conference Centre, in  the  capital city of Gaborone.<\/p>\n<p>FEES AND ACCOMMODATION:  The registration fee will be US $350.00 per person for international delegates from the developed world, US $300.00 for participants from developing countries, and US $250.00 for students. Late registration will attract a penalty of  U$ 20.00 in addition to the normal rate for  the  category.   The registration fee does not include accommodation but covers lunch, tea,  venue, and related costs during the conference. Delegates will find their own accommodation from the list provided by the organising committee or  by themselves. The organising committee will gladly help with information on accommodation.<br \/>\nBANK DETAILS: To be provided<br \/>\nTRANSPORT: There will be paid  transport to and from  the conference centre at designated times.
