APRIL 2023

European Conference for Social Work Research, MILANO (Italy);

Social work research through and towards human relationships: Social work research, professional practice and policy making are all human relationships matters in which the responsibility is not for something but towards someone, at the individual and collective level. Thus, promoting social work research through and towards human relationships is key to retaining the values of the profession and to informing policies and political decisions in such complex times.

JUNE 2023 

European Conference of Social Work Education, PORTO (Portugal);

In times when freedom and democracy are challenged by environmental crisis, war, insecurity, and the growth of extreme-right movements in Europe, the overarching themes of the conference are respect for diversity, equality, and the achievement of socially responsible societies. The conference promotes the mission of the EASSW towards the inalienable rights of the individual, freedom, justice, and peace to foster cooperation, collegiality, and solidarity. It builds further on the Tallin conference’s 2021 themes of resilience and innovation in working together in partnership for safer and environmentally sustainable futures.

AUGUST 2023

Conference of International Consortium for Social Development 2023, GAVLE (Sweden);

23rd International Biennial Conference of the ICSD (International Consortium for Social Development), which will be held in hybrid form from August 23-25, 2023. in Gävle (Sweden). This year, the conference is being held under the title Social Development in times of crisis: Challenges and responses.

On the link you can find details related to the conference and instructions for submitting abstracts. The deadline is February 1, 2023.

The international organization ICSD, https://www.socialdevelopment.net/about-us/ in addition to various activities, deals with the organization of conferences at the regional and global level, which takes place every two years. This year, the host of the world ICSD conference is the University of Gävle, which has about 16,000 students and more than 60 undergraduate and graduate programs.

SEPTEMBER 2023

Conference of the Institute of Social Work, University of Skopje, Macedonia, OHRID (Macedonia); see: Institute of Social Work and Social Policy 65th Anniversary Conference

The conference will be held this year in Ohrid, on the occasion of 65 years of social work education in Macedonia.

European Conference on Domestic Violence, Reykjavík (Iceland); see: https://ecdv.hi.is/

European Conferences of Domestic Violence will be held on September 11-13, 2023 in Reykjavík, Iceland. The venue is Hilton Nordica Hotel. 

ECDV brings together researchers, academics, students, professionals, practitioners and policy-makers, so we expect a variety of different abstracts to be submitted. This guidance provides some instructions and tips on how to structure your presentation in order to improve the chances of your proposed contribution to the conference being successful. Deadline for abstract submission is midnight on January 12th, 2023.
